Terms of use and responsibilities

By creating a ZABOR, you as the organizer accept these rules. Before their first message at an event, guests read a short version of the rules and tap “Got it”.

1. The organizer and the event mode

The organizer chooses a mode that suits the event and the guests’ ages, makes participants aware of the rules, and blocks anyone who breaks them at their event. Relaxed mode is for adults only.

Standard

No profanity, dark humor or adult topics.

Relaxed · 18+

Profanity, dark humor and adult topics are allowed, subject to the general restrictions.

Relaxed mode keeps automatic checks and the general restrictions in place. Moderation cannot be completely disabled.

2. Prohibited messages

The following are prohibited in both modes:

Authors are responsible for the content of their messages. Jokes and the selected mode do not override the general restrictions.

3. Automatic checks

Before publication, messages are checked automatically against blocked words and rules, as well as for their meaning. The selected mode is taken into account. The organizer does not manually approve each message.

The checks may reject an acceptable phrase or miss a violation. They do not always recognize context, irony, slang or disguised words.

Passing the checks does not guarantee that a message is acceptable. The organizer monitors the screen and blocks anyone who breaks the rules.

4. Sending messages

Messages can contain up to 100 characters. Each device can send one message every 10 seconds, with a maximum of 5 in any 60-second period at the same event.

Messages appear on the shared screen for guests to see. Only send content you are comfortable sharing with everyone at the event.

5. Event end and message history

ZABOR starts as soon as it is created and ends automatically after 24 hours. Sending then closes, and the entire event history is deleted, including rejected messages and the reasons for rejection.

Until the event ends, the organizer can view a log of all messages, including rejected ones and the reasons for rejection. Deleted history cannot be recovered.
